Here's something I'm working on. I drew all the ornamental stuff and I'm really happy with it because it showcases (to me at least) that when I sit down and do something, I can produce something I've imagined in my head.
Critiques are welcome, and all negatives taken as positives.

No offence, but I think it's cooler when you draw, as opposed to using vector shapes out of that book... nothing against vector shapes or clip art, but you're not really doing anything WITH them. It feels like all you did was place some shapes. You're more talented than that. I really like the drawing in the last post... work more on drawing or at least layering some textures or adding the vector stuff to drawings or... or something. I dunno, but this doesn't move me at all. Again, no offence.
Also, the placement of the spray cans is kind of unfortunate. ;)
Thanks dude, the spray guys are the only thing from the book. I drew everything else. I looked off something very similar when the I drew the guitarist, I just vectorized it.
I appreciate your comments in this early stage :)
and damn those vectors from the book are nice, haha
here is something that you might find helpful too, if you're having any struggle with drawing. These are interesting video tutorials with different aspects of drawing from your imagination:

ok, I see it now...
Still, the piece could use something else to give it a bit of... I dunno, pop or color or life.
Keep at it though.
oh yeah i mean its hardly done, i don't know why i showed it. just to show off my ornamental accomplishment i suppose. the final piece will have a lot more life, no doubt
Ester, I will definitely sit down tonight after a nap and watch these videos. Thank you
