Is it wrong?
Is it wrong of me to just not care about drawing animals? I'm much more intrigued by human figure, and the only real animal that appeals to me is the bird. What do you guys think? Should I force myself to draw animals more?
My suggestion is definitely draw whatever appeals to you, and not force what "should" be drawn. I was just talking about this issue today, actually, about how the "should" gets in the way so often, and in worst case scenarios, even blocks a person from ever starting drawing because it's not something they are excited about. If you follow your feelings about what sounds fun or good to draw, you are following inspiration, which will always end in drawings that you are more happy with.
this site gives demo info on how to create things in some of those graphic programs we were talking about. Thought you might find it interesting or helpful

draw whatever you like man. I never draw animals... except the occasional bird. It's no biggie. Make yourself happy, it's your art after all.

Thank you both a lot, and ester I'll really use this! thank you very much!
Your link works... it's just that the date IS the link. ;)
Cheers, Jim. I dont' honestly believe there are any 'shoulds' in art.
