I designed this bigger, to be displayed as a background at 1280x1040, but it looked goofy when selected so I scaled it down so you could appreciate it in its entirety without scrolling all over the place.
Please feel free to comment. The purple in the middle seems to be a point of negativity for some. Let me know what you think :)

I don't like the circles. They seem out of place. I rather like the rest of it, but the circles detract from it. In my opinion.

thanks for your opinion, buddy!

Yeah, I hope that didn't sound rude, I just think it would be cool without the circles or with something else in their place.

Aside from the guitar, it all feels organic, and the circles don't. It's distracting, you know?

Like I said, though, I like the rest of it.

no yeah, i definitely respect your opinion and did not take in a rude tone at all.
i've gotten a lot of mixed feelings from peers, and have adjusted the piece based on those opinions.
everyone enjoys the circles, however, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
i personally feel they add some weight to the picture and pull forward away from the lighter painterly style that is present through out the rest of the piece.

regardless, it was basically me experimenting with color and this nifty Wacom ^_^

maybe a simple way to integrate the circle motif is to incorporate them more with the organic things, for example, create some extra lines like vines, with smaller circle shapes attached, as if in replacement for leaves.

(but i noticed that you posted this 3 days ago, so maybe this is late)

Either case, it's really light in color, so any darker contrasty shape is definitely going to become quick focal point, and if anyone didn't care for purple, that may be the reason. I can see a blue working there just as well. I really like the concept of something growing out of the guitar, and spreading influence.

I'm curious if you had any other use for this in mind? Or just going to make this a download available to the public?

Thanks est, everyone's thoughts are really appreciated.
I had thought about some line work, but it was more me playing with 'painting' on my wacom board. :)
i don't intend to use it further than what i've already made.
just something fun :)

that's so great that you've got a wacom! I can't live without mine when on the computer. It's pretty much an imperative.

I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't use a wacom. I've got one, I just don't use it.
